Writing books for children is something I have always wanted to do; teaching a moral, making it enjoyably memorable and keeping their attention for 5 minutes. There is nothing better than hearing a child’s excitement when seeing and reading stories I have written.
A shrill of enthusiasm, a shriek of excitement and sometimes just a warming smile; all of which are pricelessly rewarding.
I have just recently finished the set of five books. Everyone always asks me which my favourite book is. The honest answer is probably Hatty the Giraffe but only because she was the first character I came up with so will always hold a soft spot with me. They're all great in their own way.
I can’t wait for you to read the books in the Betty's Zoo collection. I hope that the person you share the books with enjoy them even more than I have writing them.
